Art and activities for the whole family in the Environmental Art Park in Ii February 14th 2026, 2-7 PM. Ice skating, snow and ice sculptures by the schoolchildren in Ii and media art from a big ‘ice screen’. Warm drinks and snacks served.
Artist Miia Mäkinen will work with school children from Ii to create bigger and smaller sculptural pieces from snow and ice.
In association with Northern Media Culture Association Magneetti there will be video art screened on a big ice screen after dusk.
You can loan skates or kick sledges and there are activities for all ages during the day.
Oulu is the European Capital of Culture in 2026. This event is part of the Cultural Program of Oulu2026 and the opening of the Oulu2026 year in Ii.
