As part of her residency at KulttuuriKauppila, Nathalie is inviting people from Ii to take part in a unique filming experience on the banks of the Iijoki River. The idea is simple: you enter the river, and emerge as part of the artwork.
Before the filming, we’ll meet, get to know each other and make plans together. On the filming day, participants will be filmed emerging from the Iijoki River. Masks will be worn, so participants’ faces will not be recognisable.
And yes – there will be a sauna!
KulttuuriKauppila will heat the sauna and provide a small snack and something warm to drink, so you can warm up straight after your river dip.
You can also choose what you wear over your swimwear, so there’s room to bring your own style and imagination into the artwork.
The finished video will premiere at Iin Valonjuhla Light Festival on 18 November 2026.
