Iwona Rozbiewska is from Zaścienie, Poland, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In her art, which ranges from objects to architectural installations and experimental videos, she combines a multitude of materials while filtering her ideas through the lenses of art, science and design. She is a builder and a redeveloper playing with contrast, irony and the issue of the absurd in art.

In Ii, Rozbiewska built a site-specific work of art entitled Untitled (The Resting Room), which was introduced at the end of her residency at KulttuuriKauppila. After her weeks in Ii and penetration into the culture, nature and lifestyles there, she was greatly inspired and found many interesting elements for her installation. Infinity, time and transformation form the themes for her work and her search for new applications for materials.
