KK AiR 2/18 Sam Irwin
Sam Irwin is a multi media artist and composer from New York City. He graduated from Bennington College with a Bachelors Degree in Visual arts and Music. He has worked with the Martha Graham Company, the Marie Christian Giordano Dance Company, and MoMa PS1 among others. In his works he uses programming to create interactive performances, projections, and instruments.
During his stay at the residency Sam will host a workshop for the local students. The workshop is an introduction to projection mapping, instrument building, and physical interactivity in programming. He is also looking into making a performance during his stay in Ii.
