COMMON DANCES RE-ENCHANTED
a dance laboratory, community knowledge sharing, collective re-awakening
WHAT ARE OUR COMMON DANCES OF TODAY?
WHAT DO WE CRAVE TO RE-ENCHANT?
COME AND LET US MAKE CONTEMPORARY RITUALS AND DANCES TOGETHER!
Once upon a time we danced in order to be together, share time, space, rhythm. To celebrate, mourn, connect to the land and each other. To deal with what we do not understand or control. To express our most intense experiences and concerns. To take on the responsibility of how we meet together in the common spaces and what we give on to the next generations to come. Folk dances used to be a place of gathering for everyone – without exclusion. And today it can be a place of re-enchanting collective stories, folklore practices, myths and magic to awaken the otherwise, unknown futures guided by our dreams. So, what would be these dances of the community today? Come and explore together!
If you have, bring along:
