Endless Summer
Endless Summer was a project by the artist Aki-Pekka Sinikoski, who showed the Finnish post-war generation through his photography.
Sinikoski took pictures of Finnish men in Ii and elsewhere in Finland, presenting them as loved old codgers whose antics were followed by their spouses and children – sometimes with secret amusement, sometimes with chilling fear. This project, carried out in Ii during June – July 2015, produced more than twenty photographs that were displayed in the park by the Ii church.

During summer 2017, Touko Hujanen implemented a community-based art newspaper titled Uuden Iin Sanomat, the name of which translates as NEW II NEWS, which was published at the Valto Pernu Photo Marathon gala in August.
Death is life?
DEATH IS LIFE? This project researched death from different perspectives and considered whether art is capable of crossing temporal borders and bringing people of the past closer to people of the present; the project also wished to unravel myths related to death and the taboo of death.
